Another myth is that women are discriminated against during recruitment on the example of 6 countries. A research study in 6 countries was to check whether women are discriminated against in recruitment, while the results of the research confirm that it is not women who are discriminated against, but men in 4 countries and no differences were found in two. "Gender discrimination is often regarded as an important driver of women’s disadvantage in the labour market, yet earlier studies show mixed results. However, because different studies employ different research designs, the estimates of discrimination cannot be compared across countries. By utilizing data from the first harmonized comparative field experiment on gender discrimination in hiring in six countries, we can directly compare employers’ callbacks to fictitious male and female applicants. The countries included vary in a number of key institutional, economic, and cultural dimensions, yet we found no sign of discrimination against women. This cross-national finding constitutes an important and robust piece of evidence. Second, we found discrimination against men in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK, and no iscrimination against men in Norway and the United States. However, in the pooled data the gender gradient hardly differs across countries. Our findings suggest that although employers operate in quite different institutional contexts, they regard female applicants as more suitable for jobs in female-dominated occupations, ceteris paribus, while we find no evidence that they regard male applicants as more suitable anywhere. With these findings in mind, how can we better understand gender discrimination in hiring? We did not find any support for the generic belief that women are disadvantaged in hiring processes, as implied both in models of cultural stereotypes and statistical discrimination, where employers are assumed to believe that women are potentially unstable workers, more likely to quit their jobs to attend their families and/or generally less committed to their firms. Gender stereotypes where women are seen as mothers and housewives seem less important in hiring processes today than in the past. According to our findings, these stereotypes seem not to operate at all. We suggest a few tentative interpretations of why this is the case. First, most women today are not primarily homemakers. Second, females are more likely to be hiring agents, in particular in female-dominated occupations, and we cannot rule out the possibility of in-group (same gender) favouritism benefiting female candidates. Third, in female occupations, hiring agents might find women more stable employees than men, who might be more likely to pursue a career, thereby leaving the job they were hired for. We should also remember that the job candidates we constructed are young workers with only 4 years of working experience. This means the presented evidence does not preclude the possibility of discrimination against women in hiring, earnings, or promotion opportunities later in the career. Interestingly, the evidence on hiring discrimination against men would seem compatible with existing theories about gender stereotypes that were formulated to account for women’s disadvantage. Perspectives emphasizing the sex typing of jobs, gender categorization within work organizations, role congruency, and stereotype contents, all seem relevant for explaining discrimination against men in the matching process. Theoretically, these cultural perspectives are also compatible with the economic model of employers as (limited) rational actors who try to find the best match between job tasks and job applicants. If employers perceive certain jobs as more appropriate for women, male applicants, even if formally qualified, may be devaluated because employers believe that they are poor matches for the sex-typed job tasks. For jobs that are not sex-typed, gender stereotypes do not seem to matter in the matching process". Others cite research data showing female leaders are more likely to start wars than are male leaders. As a result, another feminist myth collapses. "Dube and Harish constructed a dataset of conflict participation in 18 European polities across 193 reigns during every year between 1480 to 1913. Queens were the ruling Monarch in 18% of these reigns. (That, incidentally, shows how false is the popular narrative that women had no political power before the last few decades). It is rather a thorough piece of statistical analysis, controlling for many variables and with a variety of dependent (predicted) variables. They found that “polities ruled by queens were 39 percentage points more likely to engage in a war in a given year, compared to polities ruled by kings”. One possible reaction to this finding might be to claim that states led by a woman might be seen as easy targets by aggressive neighbours, and hence be more prone to being attacked. If so, it would not be the female leader’s choice to engage in war. Dube and Harish examined this explanation by disaggregating according to which side was the aggressor. The result shows an interesting dependence upon whether the Queen in question was married. Quote, “We find that among married monarchs, queens were more likely than kings to fight as aggressors. Among unmarried monarchs, queens were more likely than kings to fight in wars in which their polity was attacked.” “The coefficients indicate that the queen effect on war participation (.388) stems disproportionately from participation in wars in which the polity attacked (.425) rather than in wars in which the polity was attacked (-.037). These results suggest that queens did not end up engaged in war solely because they were attacked, and that the perceived weakness idea alone cannot account for the effects.” More in link empathygap.uk/?p=4100#men #women #equal #father #discriminationmen #discrimination #segregation #falseaccusations #domesticviolence #childsupport #equalparenting #parentalalienation #divorce #fraud #falseaccusationsrape #fatherless #childsharecustody #fahtermatter #law #brokenlaw #familylaw #court #depression, #depressionafterdivorce #Divorce #effectsofdivorce #health #masculinity #mentalhealth #suicidal #suicide #equalpay #equalwork #menrights #humanright

"Even with the significant strides made to reduce workplace fatalities, 5,250 US workers died in 2018 because of occupational injuries, and 92% of the workers who died were men. The gender disparity in workplace fatalities has remained steady for the past 30 years. Why do so many more men die than women? First, and perhaps obviously, more men than women work in the fields with the highest rates of occupational injuries. The occupations with the highest rates of deaths are loggers, fishing workers, aircraft pilots, flight engineers, and roofers. In 2018, 97% of loggers, 92% of fishing workers, 94% of pilots and flight engineers, and 98% of roofers were men. The workplace fatalities in these professions are caused by falls, exposure to harmful environments, and injuries by work equipment". Very important facts that feminism hides from the world. It should be mentioned how the first feminists acted and what models they grew up on. We know from history how the Nazis gained power and how they demonized one social group to achieve this. Feminists are doing exactly the same now, making only male perpetrators and female victims. Be sure to read this article "In the same way, this left-right dichotomy helps modern feminists distance themselves from fascist movements like Nazism while in reality many of the early feminist activists were actually supporters of Hitler, Nazism, and white supremacy. This becomes increasingly clear when we look at the close similarities between Nazi and feminist mythology. For a more extensive look at the origins of Nazism, I highly recommend reading The Road to Serfdom by Friederich Hayek. In this article, I will provide a more condensed analysis within the context of the feminist movements of the early 20th century. Yes, Early Feminists Were Racist Feminism has long had to wrestle with its shockingly racist past—usually by just sliding it under the rug and pretending it never happened. Unfortunately, Internet services like Google and Facebook reduce the ranking or visibility for feminist historical revisionist articles that shed light on the movement’s racist past. This is all besides the fact that feminism was a large part of Nazi Germany itself. Deutsche Frauen an Adolf Hitler was an active movement in the Third Reich that combined Nazi racism and nationalism with feminist theory. Partly as a result of their lobbying, the Nazis actually sponsored activities to get women into jobs, the Frauenwerk. Nazi Anti-Semitism and Radical Feminism Share Similar Worldviews Still, this alone does not explain why racist and anti-Semite ideologies specifically were so attractive to early feminists. They were attractive to early feminists because they both rely on the apex fallacy to support their victim narrative. Both Naziism and Feminism Created a Boogeyman Scapegoat". Women claim that they earn less (as has been repeatedly stated in the posts, this is obviously a myth), but they spend more than they earn. "Note in this older statistics Canada data – regarding hours worked, how closely this resembles the argument the writer makes in the Varsity – regarding women earning less for the same job. The ratio of hours worked is very similar between Canada and the US -(so 33.2 vs 39.5 – means women work on average about 84% of the time – men do, where she claims they make 83%,). So going to the Pink tax itself, understanding higher prices, we need to start with who the marketers are perceiving themselves as selling to. Per Forbes in the US “Women drive 70-80% of all consumer purchasing decisions. ” So now as we discuss the Pink tax- we need to ask, why is it that women pay more". Subsequent scientific research debunks myths about female fidelity, while it never had anything to do with reality. "That’s how Annika*, 45, from Melbourne, describes her experiences with cheating, and she’s far from alone. According to a growing body of research, many women in long-term relationships are sexually adventurous and have secret lovers. The view that it’s mostly men who cheat because their partners lose interest in sex is outdated. Science says that it’s actually women who struggle more with monogamy because they get bored in the bedroom. Women crave sexual variety and while some stifle their desire, others will be unfaithful. “The new research is correcting false notions that women have lesser libidos, that women are more naturally monogamous and that it’s easier for women to partner for life,” explains Martin. “Women don’t like sex less [than men] — but they do get bored of sexual sameness.” More in link nypost.com/2022/08/23/women-are-more-likely-to-cheat-than-men-heres-why/#men #women #equal #father #discriminationmen #discrimination #segregation #falseaccusations #domesticviolence #childsupport #equalparenting #parentalalienation #divorce #fraud #falseaccusationsrape #fatherless #childsharecustody #fahtermatter #law #brokenlaw #familylaw #court #depression, #depressionafterdivorce #Divorce #effectsofdivorce #health #masculinity #mentalhealth #suicidal #suicide #equalpay #equalwork #menrights #humanrights

Three years ago, researchers in Canada discovered that mothers used stereotypes more than fathers. "The study, published in the Canadian Journal of Behavioral Science, found that moms tend to favour girls expressing emotions of sadness and anger over boys. Fathers, on the other hand, lacked a bias towards emotions of anger and sadness in their children. “Angry girls are still more pleasant than boys, as per this test,” Kristel Thomassin, study author and psychology professor at the University of Guelph, told CTVNews.ca by phone Tuesday. “What we’re measuring is this self-conscious knowledge of our stereotypes within society. It doesn’t mean that you as an individuals have those personal values,” Thomassin said". Note that the study found once again that women are favored for software engineering jobs compared to men. We know, of course, that feminists argue that women are universally discriminated against, in order of course to support women with various funds. The results of the research refute this myth of discrimination against women, but what is disturbing, they accept without any remarks that there is discrimination against men. Imagine what it would be like to switch your gender here. "The results of the field experiment support the hypothesis that female software engineers experience positive discrimination at the screening phase of hiring processes. This is at least found to be true for applicants with moderately impressive backgrounds and a few years of full-time work experience, and this result could be generalized through follow up research. Female applicants were specifically found to have a 41% higher chance of receiving a favorable response from firms than their male counterparts. While sample size limitations precluded the experiment from including additional applicant variations beyond gender, the experiment succeeded in its goal of detecting gender-based discrimination that might have been present in the market for software engineers. The finding of pro-female bias is consistent with Riach and Rich (2006), which similarly found female computer programmers to benefit in the English labor market. Recalling that Riach and Rich (1987) found male computer programmers to be favored in Australia, the findings of this paper point to a potentially ongoing trend in favor of female coders. Despite potential forces that could benefit male software engineers, such as people being biased toward those more similar to them, “cultural fit” being a substantial factor in hiring decisions, and women performing relatively worse in evaluations that are not gender-blind, discrimination against female applications was not found. Moreover, the observed high level of discrimination in favor of women suggests that “pro-diversity” efforts to increase the representation of women in software development are significant factors in firms’ hiring decisions. The extent to which gender diversity might be desired due to benefits from group productivity dynamics, improving companies’ public image, or even statistical or taste-based discrimination against men, is unclear. Follow-up field experiments that include additional applicant variations and interdisciplinary research into the mechanisms through which gender diversity benefits tech firms could help explain the significant female advantage detected in this paper. For now the main takeaway is that girls who code have a reason to be optimistic in the labor market." Women who skip marriage and motherhood may find it easier to bolster their bank accounts. As Bloomberg writes, more single, child-free women are advancing their careers, and with that, their wealth. "Single women without kids had an average of $65,000 in wealth in 2019, compared with $57,000 for single, child-free men, according to new research from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. For single mothers, the figure was only $7,000". With such a single mother totaling up all of the income, alimons, child support and other social gifts from the government would surely be on the top shelf, especially since they don't have to pay taxes. "Several studies have demonstrated that working women are subject to a “motherhood penalty” either during pregnancy or after they give birth". From this article, we learn that being a parent is: "Several studies have demonstrated that working women are subject to a “motherhood penalty” either during pregnancy or after they give birth". But you will pay attention to what those women do who consider it punishment: "As for Marrero, she’s still paying to store her eggs in case she changes her mind. But she’s certain that even if she doesn’t, she won’t feel like she’s missed out. “If you don’t have children, it may or may not be a choice,” she says. “But that should have nothing to do with your happiness. You can be so happy going this route, too.” This article collapses the myth of wage gab which no one mentions that women can and earn more than men. Feminism and their enumerations should always be treated with great reserve, because they never love to use statistics or mathematics, especially logic. Of course, it is about the mythical wage gap. From UK "This belief comes from a multitude of factors and while sexism may play an insignificant role, it does not come close to explaining the 7.9% disparity. Women tend have different jobs to men and these jobs just so happen to pay less. Men like working with things and women like working with people. For example, 97.77% of women take up jobs in nursery nursing and assistants. In the vehicle technician and mechanical field, 99.19%2 of workers are men. The average annual salary for nursery nursing is around £19,0003 whereas vehicle technicians get on average £30,000 per year. The ONS study does not take this into account which leads to a flawed statistic. Not only this but the study also does not consider the positions that the workers are in. Men are 13% more likely to ask for a promotion at some point in their career than women4. Men are also 9% less likely to take time off sick5, men on average retire 1 year later then women do6, and various other factors that feminists fail to consider. Men have the harder, more dangerous jobs and are 10 times more likely to die at the workplace. In fact, in 2017, 4,761 men died at work compared to only 386 women7. Men prioritize earnings more than women do8 and therefore are prepared to risk their life in order to provide an income for the women in their family who take the softer option". Another university creates research trying to prove from the ideological point of view, and not the statistical reason for the differences in wages and all factors influencing earnings. Unfortunately, Harvard joined the feminist trend without applying economic and statistical knowledge. "The “wage gap” has long been a politicized myth that’s blatantly false or at best a statistical manipulation to anyone who digs into the numbers. While politicians often try to claim that women only make around 80 cents for every dollar a man makes, they leave out facts like that men work more hours and more dangerous jobs. In an attempt to create a more controlled study into these factors, Harvard looked into the earnings of employees of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. Because employment with the MBTA is unionized and tightly controlled, there is little subjectivity when it comes to pay, promotion, etc. Instead, pay and hours are determined by seniority. In other words, there is little room for a pay gap at the MBTA to be attributed to sexism. Nevertheless, Harvard found that women still had lower earnings between 2011 and 2017, averaging 89 cents for every dollar earned by men. Harvard Study Reveals Why Women Earn Less However, the extensive study also shed light on why. Men worked more hours, especially more overtime, and worked nights, holidays, and weekends when pay is higher. Men were also more flexible, and willing to take higher-paying shifts with much shorter notice than their female counterparts. At the same time, women took more time off under the Family Medical Leave Act. You would think this would be the nail in the coffin for the wage gap myth, but unfortunately, the ideologically motivated researchers at Harvard still found a way to spin the study as evidence of women’s oppression and therefore advocated for policies that, instead of promoting equality for both genders, will merely transfer certain burdens from women to men. Another study, this time from Switzerland, confirming that the choice of occupation is made primarily by gender, and not, as feminists try to convince us, with a social construct. " In this paper, we use detailed information on the cognitive requirements in 130 distinct learnable occupations in the Swiss apprenticeship system to describe the broad job content in these occupations along the things-versus-people dimension. We first show that our occupational classification along this dimension closely aligns with actual job tasks, taken from an independent data source on employers job advertisements. We then document that female apprentices tend to choose occupations that are oriented towards working with people, while male apprentices tend to favor occupations that involve working with things. In fact, our analysis suggests that this variable is by any statistical measure among the most important proximate predictors of occupational gender segregation".
