Remember one thing, fathers who want to take their own children are considered kidnappers and mothers who do the same are not. "James Cooper came to Featureworld with a shocking story. The dad of one spent six months on remand in jail after being wrongly accused of kidnapping his won daughter. He has now been awarded £50,000 damages by police. His case was only thrown out after it emerged police failed to download 1200 text messages which proved his innocence. He was arrested when his ex partner Gemma called police after a row and said he had taken their daughter. She later provided a witness statement to police saying she had full custody." www.featureworld.co.uk/father-awarded-50000-after-being-wrongly-accused-of-kidnapping-his-own-child/

"ASHEVILLE — After less than four hours of deliberation, jurors issued a unanimous verdict on 18 claims against Cherokee County, its former Department of Social Services Director Cindy Palmer and former DSS attorney Scott Lindsay in a federal civil trial that could send shockwaves around the state. The jury issued a combined monetary award of $4.6 million — $1.5 million for Brian Hogan and another $3.1 million for his daughter. At issue were illegal documents Cherokee County DSS used to separate Hogan from his then-10-year-old daughter. Hogan signed the document, called a Custody and Visitation Agreement, thinking that if he did not, the state would take his daughter away and he would never see her again. Hogan, who is illiterate, testified Wednesday that he did not understand what he was signing, nobody explained it to him, and he would not have signed if he had understood that he was giving up custody of his daughter until she turned 18 years old. Time and again in 2016, DSS workers contacted him and tried to get him to sign the document, he testified. While the CVA is formatted like a custody agreement, it has no legal weight, state judges have previously ruled." "After five years of litigation, culminating in a 39-day trial and an award of costs in excess of $675,000, a father was finally able to restore his relationship with his five- and seven-year-old sons despite their mother’s unrelenting attempts to extinguish it". Now he should open another case to obtain compensation for moral and psychological losses related to the proceedings against him. "The conflict between separated parents must always yield to the best interests of their children. Failure to do so will almost inevitably have disastrous emotional and financial repercussions". How many such victims are there like this doctor deceived by evil women? "A Zimbabwean man has sued his former side chick in the High Court, demanding that she pay back the $163 000 (approximately R2.7-million) he paid in maintenance over an 11-year period. The man was shocked when he learned that he had been supporting another man’s child for 11 years through maintenance payments." If this man is the victim, why is the female perpetrator on the loose? "Calling the matter a "unique" case, a panel of two administrative judges agreed with the father, noting that he alone provides financial support for the child as the mother is unemployed". In the end, after several years of fighting with the judge, the father from Australia won the case. "A father who was wrongly jailed by a judge for an alleged contempt of court in a family law case has been awarded more than $300,000 in damages after he took the rare step of suing the judge personally. In a landmark decision on Wednesday, Federal Court Justice Michael Wigney held Federal Circuit and Family Court Judge Salvatore Vasta could not rely on a judicial immunity and was personally liable for the man’s false imprisonment. The Commonwealth and the state of Queensland were also held liable."
