Data from Australia. Biological mothers kill more children than biological fathers. This contradicts the common narrative that biological mothers are best at looking after children without any exceptions, as the courts now use.

Scientists review of 9431 studies derived from 18 databases led to the inclusion of 126 studies after double screening. "Child homicide is the most extreme form of violence against children and a tragic event with serious effects on families and the community. Approximately 95 000 child are murdered each year globally,1 and the risk of being murdered in childhood is strongly associated with age, gender and geography. Distribution of child homicide perpetrator proportions by perpetrator and region Data from 33 countries distinguishing the perpetrators of parental homicides of children under the age of 18 years showed that mothers committed just over half of all parental homicides (median 54.7%, IQR 36.7–68.8); in high-income countries, the median percentage was 44.4% (IQR 36.7–66.7), in the East Asia and Pacific region, 64.6% (IQR 59.0–69.3), in the Americas, 15.4% (IQR 13.3–17.4), in Africa, 88.6% (IQR 71.1–100.0), in low-income and middle-income Europe, 60.4% (IQR 45.8–75.0) and in the Mediterranean region, 7.4% (IQR 0.0–14.😎. Only 12 countries had available data on how many parental homicides were committed by step-parents, with 7.2% (IQR: 5.7–14.5) of parental homicides committed by step-parents. Out of them, nine studies reported a breakdown, with the median percentage of stepmothers committing homicides among parental homicides being 1.0% (IQR: 0.7–3.3) and for stepfathers 7.4% (IQR: 3.1–17.4)." The mission of the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) is to strengthen marriage and family life, and advance the well-being of children through research and public education. Known for its objective and impeccably researched studies that attract attention and respect from all across the ideological spectrum, IFS’s programs and platforms focus on a number of trending marriage and family issues, including: The connection between strong marriages and a thriving economy; The retreat from marriage among working-class Americans; The state of dating and courtship in America; The negative impact of broken families on child welfare and development; Parenting, child care trends, and achieving a healthy work-family balance; The rise of cohabitation and its consequences for children and communities; The positive influence that fathers play in their children’s lives; The real facts and answers about divorce in America; The connection between healthy families and high educational attainment; How pop culture and pornography affects marriage and family in America. The fact that roughly one in two children in America grow up outside of an intact, married family constitutes one of the most significant threats to America’s future stability and prosperity. By carefully and accurately documenting the causes and consequences of family instability, IFS seeks to elevate this growing phenomenon to the top of the nation’s policy and cultural agenda where it can receive the recognition and response it deserves. Strong families make strong societies; fragile families make for fragile societies. It is this insight that informs the work of IFS, and we encourage you to utilize this website to become more aware of what can be done to strengthen marriage and family life in America. ifstudies.org/research/reports

Shocking statistics for fatherless homes. Huge negative social, economic and health effects of destroying fathers and depriving children of equal upbringing by both parents on the example of the USA. It's time to end the policy, the effects of which we see in our cities and villages. There is a father absence crisis in America. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 18.3 million children, 1 in 4, live without a biological, step, or adoptive father in the home. Consequently, there is a father factor in nearly all social ills facing America today. More in link www.fatherhood.org/father-absence-statistic

Swedish have the longest experience with the default child share custody 50/50 in Europe. All the studies that have been conducted show the advantage of this solution over the care of one parent. In addition, the Swedes support both parents, and not only mothers, as in other countries. Such a system has a positive effect on the development of children. "Joint physical custody (JPC) refers to children living alternatively and about equally with both parents after a parental separation or divorce. The practice has been debated in relation to child well-being because of the frequent moves imposed on children and the potential stress from living in 2 homes. This study describes the background to the high frequency of Swedish children in JPC and the results from research on Swedish children’s well-being in this living arrangement. Children in JPC report better well-being and mental health than children who live mostly or only with 1 parent. No Swedish studies have found children’s health to be worse in JPC than in sole parental care from child age of 3 years and beyond. The existing literature cannot, however, inform us about the mechanisms behind the findings. The risks of selection effects into living arrangements are plausible. For this purpose, longitudinal studies are warranted." This report 2019 was prepared by the Children’s Bureau (Administration on Children, Youth and Families, Administration for Children and Families) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. "Perpetrator Relationship (unique count of child victims and duplicate count of relationships) In this section, data are analyzed by relationship of victims to their perpetrators. A victim may be maltreated multiple times by the same perpetrator or by different combinations of perpetrators (e.g., mother alone, mother and nonparent(s), two parents). This analysis counts every combination of relationships for each victim in each report and, therefore, the percent-ages total more than 100.0 percent. Some of the categories on this table changed for Child Maltreatment 2019. The purpose of the changes is to be more descriptive of what the categories include and to reduce the number of relationships counted as unknown. Please see the table notes at the end of this chapter for specifics about the changes. The FFY 2019 data show, 91.4 percent of victims are maltreated by one or both parents. The parent(s) could have acted together, acted alone, or acted with up to two other people to maltreat the child. Nearly 40.0 percent (39.0%) of victims are maltreated by a mother acting alone, 22.6 percent of victims are maltreated by a father acting alone, and 21.0 percent of victims are maltreated by both parents (two parents of known sex). More than 14.0 percent (14.2%) of victims are maltreated by a perpetrator who was not the child’s parent. The largest categories in the nonparent group are relative(s) (5.3%), unmarried partner(s) of parent (3.0%), and “other(s)” (3.2%). (See table 3–12 and related notes.) The NCANDS category of “other(s)” perpetrator relationship includes any relationship that does not map to one of the NCANDS relationship categories. According to states’ commentary, this category includes nonrelated adult, nonrelated child, foster sibling, babysitter, household staff, clergy, and school personnel. From Australia How does a double-standard society justify the same crimes only as a result of the different sexes of the perpetrators. "Mothers murdering their own children is a crime that's hard to stomach. Society says these are crimes committed by men - jealous, cheats, cowards and cruel. It's seemingly easier to digest that a man is capable of such atrocities against his own flesh and blood than a woman." Data from Australia also confirm, as with statistics from other countries of the world, that biological mothers outweigh biological fathers in murdering their own children: "Between 2000 and 2012, 284 children were killed during by a parent or a step-parent. The disturbing figure equates to about one child every two weeks. Of those, 133 were killed by their mothers. Another 81 were killed by their fathers, with the remaining killed by stepfathers". Unfortunately, the media does not report this, as biological fathers are still portrayed as threats to children around the world, while statistics show the fact that bad mothers are more likely to harm and murder their own children.
